Volunteer questions.

Do I need experience?

Some roles may suit new volunteers; mentoring or interpretation may require specific skills. Confirm qualifications before accepting an assignment.

Is a background check required?

Role-specific screening requirements and any costs must be confirmed with UHF. Direct work with children or vulnerable people should not begin before required screening and supervision are in place.

Can I volunteer remotely?

Ask whether the current role supports remote participation and what communication tools are approved.

When is orientation?

An orientation calendar has not been published. Request the next confirmed date in your inquiry.

What training should I expect?
